These settings let you control when volume pricing applies and how it behaves alongside other Shopify discounts.
They’re designed to give you flexibility without unexpected double-discounting.
Control who can receive volume pricing discounts.
All customers
Volume pricing applies to everyone shopping on your store.
Specific customer segments
Only customers who belong to the selected Shopify customer segments will receive the discount.
Customers outside those segments will not receive volume pricing, even if they meet the quantity requirement.
Common uses:
Wholesale-only pricing
VIP or loyalty pricing
Trade-only bulk discounts
Customer segments are managed in Shopify and stay automatically up to date.
Control what happens when more than one cart item qualifies for volume pricing at the same time.
When This Applies
If a customer adds multiple products or variants to their cart and each one qualifies for volume pricing, this setting determines how those volume discounts are applied together.
Stacking Behaviour
First discount
Only the first qualifying volume pricing discount is applied.
Other eligible items will not receive a volume discount.
Best saving
All qualifying volume discounts are evaluated, and only the one with the largest saving is applied.
Stack all (Default)
Every eligible cart item receives its volume pricing discount.
This is the most common and expected behaviour.
Example
If two different products both qualify for volume pricing:
First discount → only one item is discounted
Best saving → only the item with the biggest saving is discounted
Stack all → both items are discounted
Most stores should leave this set to Stack all.
Control whether volume pricing can be combined with other types of Shopify discounts.
You can allow combinations with:
Product discounts
Order discounts
Shipping discounts
Each option can be enabled or disabled independently.By default, all combinations are enabled.

Prevent volume pricing from applying to certain products.
